A Long Skinny Bag
Last night Charlie was out at a meeting until nearly 10:00 pm. It was so quiet here. Roxy is an awesome sleeper. She goes down at 6:20 pm and we don't here from her again until 6:30 am. So I had a nice evening to do some sewing.
As I mentioned before, I reorganized my fabric stash this weekend which made this wool burlap come to the surface. My mother-in-law gave me her entire scrap bag about a year ago which contained all sorts of interesting fabric - things I would never be daring enough to buy on my own. This one was among them.
I like the raw edges and the natural look of this fabric. I left the top edge of the bag raw. The handle has two vintage buttons
and it is lined with fabric from a vintage table cloth I found thrifting this weekend.
And, of course, more shashiko-style embroidery. This bag is rather long for some reason.
This week I will be saying good-bye to Tiger Belly Owl. He is going to live in Georgia. I had to take his picture one last time so I'll remember him.
And, I want to say thank you to moki for sending me a sample of wool roving. She had made some beautiful felted beads and sent me some directions and the little capsule to make them in, plus a sample bead.
As soon as I opened the package I started making them. Thank you. I love crafty mail
