An Awesome Place to Buy Fabric

I just wanted to highlight one of my fabric on-line fabric stores. For those of us who can no longer spend hours browsing through fabric in person (because we have a toddler in tow who pulls buttons off store shelves and tries to eat them) Reprodepot is a great alternative. They make reproductions of vintage prints. I especially like their MODern Times prints. Check out "poppy field," "funky fruit," and "abacus."

Recently, I've been experimenting with making up my own patterns. I used "mod meadow" to make an owl (the yellow flowery one) and then a Japanese print from Reprodepot to make a second owl, improving on the first. I especially like how the blue one has a tiger on his belly. I also like his beak much better.

Hey, congrats on starting a blog. Love your owls! Retrodepot is cool isn't it! I haven't bought from them (their international postage is a little excessive). Your owls are lovely. 'Specially tiger belly!

Oooh, I love your owls, too. That fabric you've used for tiger belly is fantastic! Look forward to seeing your other creations! :D

Oh, that blue one looks so great. The tiger is a traditional Chinese tiger pillow pattern, which we use it in China to small babies. The tiger pillow simblizes the power to scare away the five evils(spider, toad, snake, gekko, and millipede) that intend to haunt the new born in Chinese culture.I think your owl with this pattern can be a very good present to babies.
